How Chesscheats works

Chesscheats is a desktop app that watches your live Chess.com game, works out the strongest move, and shows it to you in real time. You stay in control and play the moves yourself. Here is what happens from download to your first game.

By the Chesscheats team

It runs on your own PC

Chesscheats is a Windows desktop app, not a browser extension you have to trust with your account. You download it, sign in with your license key, and it works alongside the Chess.com game you already have open in your browser. Nothing about your normal login changes.

It reads the live position

While you play, Chesscheats follows the board in real time. As soon as it is your turn it knows the exact position, so you are never pasting moves in by hand or switching windows back and forth.

It suggests the strongest move

Chesscheats uses a strong chess engine to evaluate the position and surface the best move for you, fast enough to keep up with bullet, blitz and rapid. You see the suggestion, you decide, and you make the move yourself.

The key idea: Chesscheats does the thinking, you do the playing. It is built to feel like a strong human is sitting next to you, not like a robot taking over your account.

It is built to look human

This is what separates Chesscheats from a free move calculator. It includes built-in anti-ban protection so your games look natural rather than engine-perfect. You get a real edge without playing in the obvious, flawless way that gets accounts flagged. (Read our honest take on this in Is Chesscheats safe?)
